The following leagues are available at the Blackhawk Curling Club:
Monday Night Open League
Our Open League is currently on Monday nights, with 2 draw times being 6:00 and 8:00 and has one semester. This league consists of teams that are created by the league member participants. No draft or placement of players on teams will be conducted by the league chairperson. This league is not recommended for new curlers.
Competiveness level: HIGH
League Age Limit: Members age 16+ may curl in the Open League. Members 12-15 can curl, but must have a parent, guardian, or sponsor at the club during the time such member is curling or socializing. Members age 12-15 must have a minimum of 3 years curling experience.
Age Limit Effective Dates: Individuals must turn the respective age by Nov. 1st of the current curling year.
Definition of a Sponsor: A sponsor is a member of the Blackhawk Curling Club who is not the child’s parent or guardian, who has accepted responsibility for said child during his or her time at the club facility, on or off the ice.
Tuesday AM Pick up League
Our Tuesday morning league currently has a fall and spring semester and starts at 10:00; this league consists of teams made up of both women and men made up at the time of play determined by members that show up to participate each week.
Competiveness level: LOW / MODERATE
League Age Limit: No member under the age of 18 may curl as a member of the Mixed League. No substitutes may be under the age of 15, Substitutes under 18 must be with a sponsor.
Age Limit Effective Dates: Individuals must turn the respective age by Nov. 1st of the current curling year.
Definition of a Sponsor: A sponsor is a member of the Blackhawk Curling Club who is not the child’s parent or guardian, who has accepted responsibility for said child during his or her time at the club facility, on or off the ice.
Tuesday Night League - 2nd Semester
Our Tuesday night league currently has a fall and spring semester; 2nd semester (spring) league usually starts mid January and continues through late March. This league consists of teams made up of both women and men developed from a roster of players registering to curl in this league. This league is currently two draws with a dinner theme after the 6:00 draw, and snacks after the 8:00 play. This league may alter its draw times based on the number of curlers that register per semester. Members can register for this league as individuals or couples. This is an excellent league for newer curlers as well as experienced curlers.

Wednesday Night Women's League - 2nd Semester
Our Women’s League currently curls every Wednesday night at 6:00, and has a fall semester that starts at the end of October and continues through the end of December, the spring league starts first week in February and continues through March. The teams consist of only women curlers developed by a league skip draft from registered curlers in this league. Both newer and experienced women are encouraged to register for this league.

Wednesday Open Doubles
This league meets every other week on a day to be determined. Open Doubles is a two person team. Sign up as a single and we will pair you with another individual, or sign up as a team.

Thursday Night Men's League - 2nd Semester
Our Men’s League curls on Thursday nights with draws at 6:00 and 8:00. A dinner is hosted each week by one of the teams. The teams consists of teams of only men curlers, and are established by a draft of registrants for the league. Both newer and experienced men are encouraged to register for this league.

Our Friday night league has a fall and spring semester; 2nd semester (spring) league starts mid January and continues throught late March. This league consists of teams made up of both women and men developed from a roster of players registering to curl in this league. Friday league is currently one draw time at 6:30 and has a dinner provided by the teams. Each semester the number of draws and the time of the draws is determined by the number of players/teams registered to play. Members can register for this league as individuals or couples. This is an excellent league for newer curlers as well as experienced curlers.
